A Buddhism monk and two laymen are questioned by police over a fake "tod pha pha" ceremony to solicit public donations. The trio admitted they had solicited donations from local residents, but claimed they were uncertain whether the temple would hold a tod pha pa ceremony or not. Mr Nakhon said he had been contacted by a monastery committee member to help organise the tod pha pa ceremony to raise funds for the monastery. The three suspects were later handed over to Sam Roi Yot police for legal action. A police record showed that the trio had been caught last year for organising a fake tod pha pa ceremony for the same monastery.
